Starting a Raid.

If you are new to the Pokemon Go platform then you must be wondering how can you actually start a raid! So, no need to worry about this, here is the step by step guide for you.

1. For initiating the raid, you will need a Raid pass.
2. You can get the raid pass from the gyms, but once per day.
3. After this, you have to find a gym with an egg above it.
4. Now, wait until the timer counts down.
5. When the timer has come to end, visit the gym .
6. Here, you will be able to face the raid boss.
7. What is Raid Boss? It is a Pokemon, but with much higher CP .
8. You will now have an hour to create a team and after this, you can beat him.
9. Here, you will also have a choice that you can join a group upto 20 other players OR you can participate in raids Solo.
10. You can then beat more than six Pokemon into the battle, as it is in usual gym battles.
11. If you fail your fight with the boss, then you can try again as many time as you want to until your hour is up.
12. It will not cost another raid pass from you.
13. If you manage to be successful, then you will receive a bunch of reward.
14. After being successful, you will also get a chance for catching it by using a premier ball. These are exclusive to the raids.

These are coming to the game soon. As mentioned above they can appear in the holiday season. Like most other legendary Pokemons, they are likely to be available in Raids.

Premier Balls.

As mentioned above, the premier balls are exclusive to the raids. These balls are the sole type of Pokeballs, you can use them for capturing the raid boss, if you manage to beat him.  You cannot collect these premier balls by ordinary means. You will earn a set number depending upon the following factors.

1. Five Premier Balls: Defeat the Boss.
2. More than four Premier balls: Damage.
3. More than two: if you can control Gym.
4. You can also gain extra premier balls. It depends on the damage of your team: Team Contribution.
5. If you want to receive more than Four Extra Premier Balls: Friends.

From the information given above, you can now see that it is possible for earning a fair number of extra balls by paying attention to the points above.

Catching a raid boss.

With the maximum possible numbers of the premier balls, at your disposal, it is not guaranteed for catching a Pokemon, and especially if that one is legendary at the tier five.

If you wish to increase your chances significantly, then you will need to use a golden razz berry.

As for the Golden razz berries, these are rewarded for defeating the Raid Boss at the first place. If you are the person that raids often, then you should have plenty of these berries on you for increasing the chances of capturing the boss.

Here are following tips, for catching a raid boss;

1. You should throw a curveball, by spinning the PokeBall, before you throw it.
2. By landing the PokeBall within the circle, when it is small,  get an excellent throw.
3. Now, you can get medals based on the type of the Pokemon you are aiming to catch.

Rewards.

You are doing so much effort, so it is your right to know what rewards you can get by this. As you catch a Powerful Pokemon, so with this, you also get a number of rewards for successfully completing your raid.

5. 20,000 legendary raids.
